Nantgwyn Camping

Pitch your tent in quiet, secluded farmland. Enjoy birdsong and rolling green countryside away from the noise of traffic.

About

Nantgwynfynydd Uchaf is a 55 acre sheep farm near Aberaeron on the west coast of Wales. The name Nantgwynfynydd means ‘Pure mountain stream’  and is named after the stream that rises on the farm and runs through Oakford, eventually joining the sea a few miles down the coast. It is a peaceful place with 10 acres of wild habitat and woodland, views of the farming countryside, the village of Oakford and in the distance, the sea.

We try to tread lightly on the earth by being as self sufficient as possible. We use our own wood to heat the farm in winter, grow fruit, veg and meat to eat and generate more electricity than we use from our solar panels on the old dairy roof.

Camping

Our family run campsite is open for tents only, from May to October.

We have a small number of peaceful pitches which are spaciously spread across our 55 acre working sheep farm.
